Havent had much to report lately, its been pretty quiet around here but just thought we'de check in. Doctors visits have been getting fewer and fewer in the last few weeks and amazingly enough we've only been to three in the past month (which for us is hardly any...)! (and two were unexpected!). Last Friday Mr Mikey had his renal scan to follow up with his hydronephrosis. They had to sedate the poor lil guy in order to scan him, which i'm thinking he's not a huge fan of because it takes him a little while to wake up and while he does he's very unhappy :( We dont have the final results from the scan (we see the urologist at the end of the month) but the anesthesiologist said from what he knows, things are looking good and he may no longer have the blockage. If thats true, this will pretty much be his last preemie issue that needed to be resolve! Woo Hoo.
We've also been to the pediatrician twice now for an ear infection/cold... we went couple of weeks ago because Michael was super grumpy and tugging on his ear, and he did infact have an ear infection. He was better for a few days but yesterday he woke up a little congested and hoarse sounding when he cries so we took him back in. The antibiotics they had him on for the first ear infection didnt work at all or the infection just decided to come back for some reason. Who knows... but he's on a new antibiotic this time, saline drops and a vaporizer and he should be good as new in a couple of days. Follow up to check on his ear in a couple of weeks. Hopefully this wont turn into an on going issue.
